Arginine Malate (di-arginine malate)

Arginine malate is an arginine molecule bound to a malic acid molecule. Arginine is an amino acid that is a precursor of nitric oxide in the body. Nitric oxide causes vasodilatation and relaxes smooth muscle tissue. Arginine malate is a non-polar form of arginine that is rapidly absorbed in the body. It is also much more stable than regular L-arginine. Because of the increased absorption and stability arginine malate can raise nitric oxide levels to a greater degree than regular L-arginine supplements.
