Creatine Monohydrate
Creatine is an amino acid that is a source of ATP in the body. Creatine monohydrate is a creatine molecule with relatively low solubility and absorption compared to other modified types of creatine. Creatine monohydrate is often taken with large amounts of sugar to facilitate its absorption. Bloating and water retention are often side effects of creatine monohydrate supplementation. Creatine ethyl ester and creatine gluconate are much more efficient means of creatine supplementation and do not carry the same water retention and bloating side effects that creatine monohydrate has.
