Niacin

Nicotinic acid is a form of the vitamin, niacin. Nicotinic acid is an important cofactor in many body processes including the production of energy. Niacin helps support energy metabolism and assists the body with the breakdown of fat, carbohydrates. Niacin is also necessary for the synthesis of secondary sex hormones. Niacin has also been shown to decrease “bad cholesterol” (LDL) and increase “good cholesterol” (HDL).
